Electricity savings calculator
Put a dollar figure on an always-on load. Enter kW, runtime and your $/kWh and demand charge to see what it costs your plant over a year.
This section will contain
- Inputs (§G.1): load (kW) · runtime hours · $/kWh · demand charge $/kW.
- UX: simple first (2–3 inputs → estimate), then an optional Refine step.
- The result is a data-viz moment, not form output: a §E widget with the money figure large and tabular.
- Export as image or CSV. The emailed PDF report is the gated artefact; the on-page result stays free and crawlable.
Coming soon
This calculator is not live yet. The maths is finished; the published rate constants it depends on are still [TOM-VALUE].
This section will contain
- Blocked on
electricity.demandChargeRate($/kW-month) — [TOM-VALUE]. Local utility tariff — must be sourced per region. §K.1 #3.
§G.2 hard rule — this calculator cannot ship until the blocking constants land. The other calculators stay live in the meantime.
Where these numbers come from
This section will contain
electricity.blendedRate— 0.12 $/kWh. [TOM-REVIEW] Ontario Class B blended rate as used in Quantify's own teleprompter ('6,000 hours a year at $0.12/kWh') and concept footnotes. VERIFY against the current IESO/OEB Class B blended rate.electricity.demandChargeRate— — $/kW-month. [TOM-VALUE] Local utility tariff — must be sourced per region. §K.1 #3.
